Word of the Week

Being as though I'm spending my nights studying, and getting a little restless with it, I decided to add a new column to the blog. Each week I will put up a new term and we will have a competition to see who can figure out what the hell it means.
This weeks word is CETERIS PARABIS.
Cheers,
Jude

hey jude its not "parabis" its "parabus" but anyway it means literally
= "other things being the same " a term which is used in economics to analyze effects of , for example quantity versus price in the supply and demand chart . so by holding everything else equal it gives us a better picture of the effect that that specific thing has on the economy

Here in America we usually call it "All things held constant".
Good forum, though. Keep it up.
